well i'll just have to come down and test drive your car!

just kidding
The car is parked during the day at MacArthur Blvd, zip 92660 and the key is in the glove compartment. If you like my car after the test drive then you can keep it, but be sure do not let the cops get it back. I will be able to buy MY06 with insurance money.

Why pay extra for alarm and Lojack, while you have insurance ?

When I had my S, I paid ~$12 for a blinking LED off ebay. Wired it in with my radar detector and placed it by the A pillar where it would be very visible. Granted, I had a hardtop on the car 98% of the time, but they still could have gone through a window if they wanted to. My valentine hung from the passenger visor in reasonably plain sight most of the time. Never had a problem.

The new Clifford alarm has 2 way paging with a LED screen that shows you whats happening. Also has the option to add a module that can work by phone to lock unlock or roll down windows. Plus it has another option to link to tracking so you can go on a website and see where your car is right now.

I say if they want my car, take it. What the hell am I going to do if my two way pager goes off? Run outside and risk the chances of being shot/stabbed/jumped/ect? And that is assuming that you are within distance of your baby. What if you are in the mall or in the movies and the pager goes off (assuming it reaches that far). There will not be sufficient time for you to do crap anyways.

I thought about lojack, but do you really want your car back after what the f-ing thieves have done to it? It feels like the car has been raped and I would not want it back.

So in conclusion, NO I don't think car alarms are worth a crap, because we have all heard the old saying, "If they want it bad enough, they will get it." Or something like that...

I know I'm going to invest in a car alarm. And a damn good one at that. For all the modificiations I have done to my car, and the future modifications I have planned for it, I would be heart broken If my baby was stolen, and I would want it back if it was.

I think a car alarm is a great investment, and with some companies it will even lower your insurance payments, and pay for itself in a matter of time. It's a worthwhile mod in my book.
