This thread is reserved for experiences you had where another car gave you a lot more competition than you expected. The driver factor is assumed in this section since cars can't drive themselves.

Please include information to the car you were driving, then post the competition's car and a brief story of what happened.

 

Streets: My S2k versus turbo Toyota FX-16 (4A-GE). The guy kept up with me all the way till 100mph where I started to inch away slowly after that. The FX-16 was modified with most bolt ons (including turbo) and I had I/E combo at the time.

Auto-X: My ASP S2k versus DM Toyota MR2 (1st gen). The MR2 got within a couple of tenths of a second and wasn't supercharged... took me completely by surprise.

 

Two experiences so far...

RSX Type-S...i was with a friend, we pull up to a light and an rsx is in front of us, with FOUR passengers in it. Relatively stock looking, an exhaust was all i could see. He revs the engine, i ignore him, and blow past once the light changes. I look in my rear view mirror and he is gaining on me like nobodies business...i stand on it but as he passes, the BOV goes off and i know i'm beat lol...a real heartbreaker.
Damn turbo Rsx.

in a parking lot at night, we go from a 10 mile an hour roll, i'm just about at vtec in first gear, we gun it and run to 80 or so...he had half a car length on me by the end. I was surprised, considering that car is made for straight lines and didnt do that much better than i did.

 

Damn turbo charged volvo wagon, who would've known?

 

Turbo RSX-S's are no joke. I ran with one about 2 months ago on the highway. From a 3rd gear roll at about 65, he stayed with me step for step until we had to shut it down at @ 100. And I am not stock.

 

Older Del Sol. Looked terrible. Dropped it off the line just for fun. He might of taken me save for the traffic. Found out it was S/C. I was bone stock.
