Can you post their phone number?

I want to get my car in to get the 1-2 grind fixed, the clutch replaced (same prob. as yours) and the rear window replaced.

Unfortunately, my dealership (First Texas Honda in Austin) is really used to serving customers who treat cars as cheap appliances. They have no clue how to treat an informed customer who really cares about their S2000.

I keep getting the, "I talked to my boss and he doesn't know anything about it" routine. I'd like to just talk to whomever you were speaking with regarding the problems you had. I am assuming this individual is more understanding and better informed than the local dealership folks.

Thanks!

Take a look in your owners manual, you may be in a different zone.

I'll check when I get home, but if your car is not right and the dealer refuses to fix it you should call the zone office.

Have you tried printing out the following page and taking it to them?

Tex-S2k - I spoke with Trudy at First Texas. If you have had better luck working with anyone else, let me know.

I spoke with someone at the zone office, his name is Erik and his extension is 13.

He is going to speak with First Texas Honda on my behalf regarding the gear slippage, the rear window, and the clutch.

I will post the results of that call on Thursday afternoon after he calls me back.

Glad you guys have started trying to educate First Texas. I told them about the problem months ago, and after first getting the usual "never heard of it" response, one of the techs tried the "burnishing" treatment on my car (turns out he had heard about it after all). Luckily, he didn't screw it up any worse than it was. I really don't see what their problem is -- they get paid by Honda to do this.
