CDV really ruins everything

I'm not sure what you mean by this. Can you be more specific and give some examples of what you are talking about. Thanks.

the only thing cdv ruins is your clutch from slipping it.
on the other hand, cdv saves your drivetrain from un-necessary jolts
would you rather have to replace your clutch... or your differential. Pretty much what it comes down to

You won't notice the CDV unless you try to speed-shift. In normal driving it is completely invisible. After having an AP1 I was expecting to hate it, from all the bashing here, when I got my AP2 but I don't notice it if I'm not actively racing. True, I'm not doing ANY of the clutch drops that I was constantly doing in my AP1.

Actually, there are people that have upgraded the pp and left the cdv in and report much more positive feel, and people who just remove the cdv and report the slip is still there. ymmv
The flywheel in the AP2 is 21 lb or so - ten more than the AP1. There's more mass to clamp down on, but the pp is leftover from the AP1 that was designed to handle the lighter flywheel.
So, when you shift fast, the CDV limits the speed of engagement, but the pp doesn't have the bite to keep the clutch from slipping. Removing the CDV allows the engagement to occur sooner, but it doesn't help the pp clamp down on the flywheel.

I completely agree. Anybody who claims the force limiting valve is noticeable in daily driving doesn't know how to use the clutch.
In any case, I guess I was a bit vague earlier ... I actually have a CDV on an AP1, so I have the lighter flywheel. Maybe that as something to do with it.

Removing mine soon. I don't want a shifting nanny controlling the position of my clutch.
Here is a good DIY on how to take it out.
