that warranty sounds like its from a third party and not a Honda Care warranty. I dont think there is much for Honda do to in this case. I would suggest working it out with your dealer and third party warranty company

Ehhh, a reasonable person would interpret that language as covering the incident as described. *Of course* they are going to push you off. If they can get away with it, GREAT. Push back, don't cancel the warranty until after they fix it. If you don't squak, you get what you get.

From the wording of the warranty - your damage is most certainly covered. What about the ding are they saying doesn't fall within the language? It is on a vertical panel and smaller than 4" diameter. It is covered. What they are probably balking at is the location as it is close to a fold and will be difficult to do, but a good PDR man should be able to pop that out. It sounds like whoever the warranty company is using doesn't know what they are doing. I would keep pushing or get your money back...

[QUOTE=Agent.Marshall,Feb 6 2008, 10:09 PM] Heres exactly what they read to me after telling me it wasn't covered.

...and that is enough to keep most people away but not the truth.

One of our local members' car was hit by one of those huge lawn and garden plant racks due to 70+ mph winds. Not only was the whole thing captured on video, but he happened to be one of the managers of that WalMart store, too. Even so, he still had a tough time getting WalMart to pay for it, but IIRC they finally did in the end.

1. Nice flip flops

2. Any warranty = BS. I never buy warranty. It's a joke. All it does is relax your sense of defensive ownership of the car.

3. Walmart is evil as seen once again. Do not go to Walmart. In fact do not go anywhere if you can't park a million miles away from any potential dingage.

I'd stay on them about the warranty. My family has purchased 7 cars from them and they have always stepped up when there were problems. Good luck and keep us up to date.

They can post anything they like. That doesn't have any effect on their liability, just the likelihood that people will make a claim. I'm not sure whether they are liable or not but I suspect that they very well may be.
