So an update for everyone. The vehicle is under my fathers name but I'm paying for it 100%. I told him what was going on last night. While I was at work he decided to go up there and talk to them about it. Also, while I was at work they took the car to a body shop to get a quote. The quote was $1100.
We've bought a few cars from Holmes Honda and they definately know who my dad is. He talked to the Sales Training Manager & the guy who told me it wasn't going to be covered under the warranty. After talking for a while. They took initiative to send pictures to California "I don't know why" and called corporate to see what strings needed to be pulled. I went today to drop off the Honda Pilot (Loaner) after work to pick up the S2000 until they could figure out what needed to be done. When I was there to pick it up I talked to the Sales Training Manager and he told me whatever happens they are going to do the right thing. Told me not to worry about it. Told me that they may be able to cover the whole repair or help out on most of it. So again, they gave me a little faith. He told me he would be calling me tomorrow to keep me up to date with what is going on. So we will see. I appreciate everyones feedback, once again.

stay on them, they will pay for it! get a lawyer to send them a certified letter, and make them pay for it, and threaten if needs be. once it is fully covered asnd you are totally satisfied, cancel your wartranty and get the rest of your $$$ out of it. never do it again and consider it lesson learned.
thats the game plan if it were me...
oh, and spend the money you get back to pay off some of the loan, or get some sick parts.

Damn! That's a pretty deep dent. Effin cart must have been moving fast. This is why I park in the farthest end of every lot. 75% of people don't give an ish about their own cars, let alone someone else's.
Good to hear the dealership is going to help you out. Hopefully they aren't just B.S.'ing you.

I HATE THIS!!!
I am going through almost the same thing right now! I bought my car Dec. 15. 07. I have worked out of town about a total of a month (Company vehicle). On 2/3/08, I drove the car for 3 hours just cruising(mild traffic) Let it sit for an hour then went to the grocery store and wouldn't shift into 6th. I drove it to Honda on Monday and I was told it was covered (It's certified for 1 year bumper to bumper and remainder of 100,000 drivetrain. TWO WARRANTIES). I got a rental (supposed to be covered under warranty) Got a call the next day and said it was not covered because it was a synchronization gear. I said "i've had the car a month and a half!?!?" He called Honda back and they said they would cover the repair but not the rental!. (About half of my car payment!) They said only because I had the car a short period of time that they would repair it and that there was no way I could have worn the synchronization gear for 6th in that time. I said OK but shouldn't that mean its covered. They acted like they were doing me a favor for half following through with their promises! I came home to read over my paperwork of my warranties (I havent had time since being out of town so much) and realized I never received any when I bought the car. I'm getting copies tomarrow and reading them. Starting to piss me off though

They can post anything they like. That doesn't have any effect on their liability, just the likelihood that people will make a claim. I'm not sure whether they are liable or not but I suspect that they very well may be.
An update for everyone. We got a call from someone at Honda. They will be paying for 100% of the repairs. The body shop will be calling me to set up an appointment. $1100 job... Phew, glad they are doing the right thing.
