I just changed my oil, at 5500 miles, to 10W30 Mobil 1 Synthetic, and after I turned on the car, the check engine light is on and won't turn off.
I restarted it a couple of times, I checked for leaking, there isn't any. The one thing that I can think of is that while I was changing the filter, to get better access to it, I unplugged the thing that is right above it - I know I am stupid for unplugging something that I don't know what it is, I just wasn't thinking at the time.
I don't have the manual with me and I am not sure if this is just a case of resetting something or if I do need to go to the dealer to have it checked out.
Has this happened to anyone?

I think this has been done before.
Check around the VTEC control valve or the lambda probe on the exhaust. You may have a dangly wire round there.
BTW, when hard wiring my alarm, I pulled the fuse for the key in/lights on beeper, because it was pissing me off.
A couple of days later, I found out the reason it wasn't working was that I'd put the fuse back in the wrong hole! D-oh!

I am replying to your thread because you mentioned that the key in beeper was bothering you. My car is 1 month old and I have no beeper for lights on or key in. Is that something they changed because ny dealer said there is no beeper on the csr????????

With the car completely OFF, with your left hand, push down the odometer trip reset button. KEEP HOLDING IT DOWN, while with your right hand, you turn the key all the way, as if you are trying to start it (but don't start it). Hold it for 10 seconds, and the light will go out. Then you can let go and the light is reset!
