BTW, they probably had a full replacement ECU, Spoon, Amuse, Feels, Mugen all make them and they cost a little over $1000. They can bypass the second 02 simulator in your cat (not plural) so that you don't get a CEL when running a test pipe.
I think the Mugen ECU is $1,400 to $1,600 (don't quote me)

Hondata has the reflash for the 06

you want power from Ecu ? call hondata s200 you can get pwr at low cost ! Below 1000 for sure but you need I/H/E + dyno.
Not for the S2k. (http://www.hondata.com/wizard/wiz_s2000_00.html)

Only the '06 S2k has an ecu that Hondata has tweaked since it is flashable.

this is kinda off topic, but i heard that vw/audi are getting rid of their chips as well starting 2004, so unfortunately there will be no "inexpensive" chip replacement to bump up power on their 1.8T's anymore.
you heard wrong and vw/audi doesn't use a 1.8t anymore. they moved on to a 2.0t. Witha reflash it pushes around 250hp and 300tq

meh, just noticed the date.
