I have one pump for tranny and one for diff. Too much hastle to "clean"...but I would imagine pumping some gasoline through it would clean it effectively...but then what do you do with the dirty gas?

i also have one for each, and i leave them dirty until the next time i use it (and use it w/o cleaning it). it just sits in the corner of my garage so the worst i'll have are some spiders and maybe a little dirt. shouldn't hurt, right?

I use brake clean
Thank you, the wonder clean all Sometimes you guys (not bashing) over think things and buy unnecessary expensive stuff to do a simple job. First you do not need a pump let alone two. A simple CHEAP grease gun with a section of PVC hose dose the job neatly and efficiently. Clean up afterwards is just a spray of brake clean. You can shoot brake clean inside the fill holes of both trans and diff to get out any remaining oil too. The stuff dries almost instantly with nothing remaining behind. Be sure to not get any on your painted parts.

eh i dunno, each thing was like $5, and i don't have to buy or use any brake clean afterwards. i don't use a pump but a tube thing that screws onto the top of a bottle. can't get much easier than that.

I also have one for each. Bought the cheapo $3 plunger-type from WalMart for the diff and the almost as cheap $7 suction pump for the tranny.
