4igs2000, I think that the real reason that the clear inserts are atractive is the price. Even at $25 a pair (which would probably be 1000% or more markup, it is waaaaay more attractive than the whole assembly at $800 plus.

To save over $725 - YES, I would spend an afternoon taking apart my OEM headlamps to fit the clear corners! I can see the value there! It is only a drop in piece, so it's relatively simple to do.

Also, given the enthusiast nautre of this forum, I dare say that many others would be happy to do the same. We like to tinker!

I would love to do something to the third brake light on the S2k. Although I am not a big fan of clear lenses it would have to be better than what we currently have. At least I could paint it.

 

No this forum is OK. The problem is on the GeoCities side. They have disallowed linking directly to pictures on GeoCities, only linking to an HTML page is OK. This is probably so you can't bypass their banners and popups. I just left them for another webspace provider over this.
