I had an Acura, and I assume Honda works the same way. From what I've personally been through, a cat-back exhaust would not void a warranty. Only because it's bolt-ons...however I'm not sure about a CAI. because of the removal of the resonator and everything, it might. it wouldn't hurt to ask someone at the service department at a Honda dealership though.

idk, thats just what i've heard...

so a cat back exhaust dosent void it? what about a CAI?

what DOES void it?

i ahve the extended warranty, non power train to 48 k (im at 20) and the power train goes to 100000
It only voids your warrenty if the dealership can prove that the exhaust was the DIRECT cause of an issue.

True, and you should be able to get away with a lot. My friend blew his transmission in a highly modified srt-4 (everything but a new turbo) and the dealership still didn't reject him.

I decieded to go with a cai. Votes on which is best? AEM v2 or K&N fipk or Comptech. Any others worth mention? It's just not that loud but makes good sound on vtek, from what i am told.

If I were to do it all over again I would go with a Mugen or J's intake. I used to run an AEM V1 which was all that was available from AEM at the time and it sounded great with modest gains. The hydrolock issue never bothered me because I didn't daily drive the S.

K&N filter gives you about 2 mpg more. I have one if anyone wants it - only 2 thousand miles so very clean.

The increased sound will make you drive the car harder = less mpg

The S2000 I'm looking to buy has an AEM cold-air on it...and it sounds awesome. I don't drive one everyday so obviously I didn't feel a power difference, but in the past I've always stuck with K&N.
