First, why is it that our cars don't have electric door locks on the inside? I can push a button on my remote but not in my car? It's just kinda odd unlocking the door for the girl at a push of a button but then trying to explain to her where the unlock latch is.

Second, is there any cooling benefits to removing the little plastic inserts in the front bumper on my MY04? See picture.

 

First - who knows, I think many have complained of this.

Second - just removing the plastic probably has little impact unless you feel like doing some extra work to install brake ducting like this:
