Default Custom power door lock switch...

I was wondering if any of you have found a suitable power door lock switch from other Honda/non-Honda vehicles that could be placed in one of the "blanks" in the dash area.

Better yet, is there a switch that can control the locks that fit's the "blank" right beside the hardtop defogger switch located on the center consol on 2001 Spa yellow S2K's?

The reason why I'm asking is that I'm sure the absence of this button on the S2K bothers, not only me, but a fair number of you as well. Which is why I would be very surprised if some of you haven't already addressed this annoyance with some of your own trick solutions.

Keep in mind that I'm not looking for a 50 cent toggle switch from Radio Shack or Home Depot that looks cheap and out of place in an interior as nice as the S2000's.

Thanks,

I don't know if the cars up in Canada are different, but here in the States, we have a power door lock switch. It is hooked up to the driver's side door lock -- when the driver's door is locked, it also locks the passenger side door. What we lack in the US is a power door UNLOCK switch. I hear that this feature is available on S2000's sold in Australia ??? But I don't know if they have an extra switch or if it is also connected to the driver's door lock mechanism (i.e., unlocking the driver's door also unlocks the passenger door).

Someone else on this board (in the US) has devised a way to unlock the doors using the "ROOF" switch when the handbrake is down. Again, too bad the search is not working, otherwise I'd look it up for you.

I've never had a problem with a vehicle speed sensor not letting me operate the top.

One click with the parking brake handle and I have complete functionality.

Can someone explain this before I declare my car unsafe to be driven?

Well, before I did any of the mods, even with the ebrake on a few clicks, if you were MOVING it knows (speed sensor) and you can't move the top until you are fully stopped.

Mine is 2002.
