Thanks, that made me laugh.

the nerve of that Rick guy anyway,. It should have been delivered the day before you odered it so you could installed it.
That's pretty much how it was when I bought my leather interior from you! Big for Rick and his products. You were the first person I bought from after I got my S.

One vendor I keep going back to because of the customer support and product quality is Science of Speed -- even though they ship slow (and high ship prices), don't update their inventory stock online, and the prices really aren't that competitive I go back to them because every issue I've had has been addressed promptly.

The poor guy in Singapore or whatever seems like he went through a lot of shit for something that should have been correctly shipped (especially when the order is going around the world!). His English knowledge just makes him sound more rude than he actually is, I'm sure.

C'mon, really? S2000 Talk? Selling products to 18 year old kids who live with their parents and spend 3x their yearly income on a used car... and then being surprised when they act in less-than-adult manners as customers....

What's that saying about "fool me once..."
LOL

I work at Honda. In the parts department. I know customers suck.

We have a big sign that says THE PRICE IS THE PRICE right next to our computer, yet we still get assholes trying to haggle.

All the vendors love me , so far I haven't had any problems with my orders. Patience is the key to all problems

i'm no vendor but i do understand the pain involved in import performance car part sales.

i hate answering price quote questions over and over for the same people when they don't buy anything.

How about customers custom ordering parts (as in must be manufactured) then after a few weeks, as the part is being made, back out and stick the vendor who must still pay the manufacturer! Another oldie but goodie: manufacturers delay part shipments, especially when they also sell direct to customers, then blame the dealer when customers complain to them about the delay and offer to sell the part directly and immediately which somehow they suddenly have in stock!

This industry has to be the craziest in the world; I have a couple of MBAs and some real high level corporate experience. Prior to becoming a dealer, I assumed the margins were similar to the stereo and every other business short of grocer in the world. Let me state emphatically, with the unbelievably low margins in this industry and the headaches, it's a wonder anybody can maintain a business....

Look, I love my customers; really we are like family with virtually all of them but some guys, typically new guys, can be a pain. That stated, some have ultimately ended up being great long term customers. Only thing we can't abide is a cheap POS who wants everything for free and will cut corners on safety (even endangering other guys innocently tracking their cars at the same time they are on track). Most of my customers are well established family men whose families can not afford to have out of the earning picture even temporarily.

All prices are negotiable. You just need to smile politely and hold you ground if you are not willing to negotiate. Otherwise, the only asshole is you.
