Customer's SUCK!
Customer buys a part at a swap meet ,cleans it up ,orders new part from vendor ,then returns swap meet part claiming defect
.....or returns a part near the end of warranty and gets a new part to freshen his "race car"
.....or returns a part near the end of warranty and gets a new part to freshen his "race car"
huh you guys dont seem to be getting strato's point. hes just saying, it goes both ways. We need them for the parts, they need us to sell the parts.
If we have vendors that suck, we must deff have customers that suck.

Why can't s2ki vendors show the price of the items they are trying to sell? Instead, they ask the prospective buyer to PM them for a price. I never understood that rationale. I would hate it if every department store required me to ask them what the price was before I bought it.
I am not the kind of person to really low ball someone but when a vendor says pm for price I feel like I could be paying more then the average person for any possible reason from them not liking my user name or even if I write them and seem like I have money or am young. Atleast if there is a set price you know how much you are looking at but if you happen to know the vendor and might get a homie discount or what not.I always try to be the perfect customer because I used to buss tables and realize that one customer could make your whole day suck. Most people don't realize that the person helping you is just doing his job so why be a jerk. Unless the guy is not much help or just an ass then I will be one back. I like fast and simple transactions.

sorry, but bitter internet vendors, you need customers way more than we need you, so you are stuck with us.
with all the business you get here in the form of free referrals and positive feedback, you can deal with the couple guys who air dirty laundry occasionally.

This doesn't count for "S2000 Talk" but I'll share it anyway:
My family owns two stores and I work in both of them (switch around every other day or so). Both stores are 99 cents stores. Yes, NINETY-NINE CENT stores...
People come in and complain about prices of products we sell that they can supposedly purchase for cheaper at other businesses, such as Wal-Mart.
In fact, every now and then, a customer will come in and ask for the price of a certain item; note: not everything in the store is actually 99 cents. We sell pinatas, balloons and other party merchandise that most of our customers understand can not be sold for a buck, but we still sell them cheaper than our competitors.
Anyway, as I was saying, a customer will come in and ask for the price of a certain item; I'll tell him/her the price; he/she will claim he/she can get it for cheaper elsewhere, but will actually cuss me out or give me an attitude for not offering it cheaper; he/she will leave and most likely go to the other business to buy the item for cheaper; within an hour or two, he/she will return to buy the item from me, looking embarrassed because I told him/her that "we sell it for as cheap as possible. If you don't believe me, go and check the prices elsewhere."
I'm just ranting... This happens almost every single day, though. It's gotten to the point that I don't even say anything to the customers when they come back to buy the item from me after realizing that I was right.
Remember, people: most customers are almost always wrong.
The only reason small businesses claim "the customer is always right" is just to attract customers and make whatever customer service is offered seem proper.

I work at Honda. In the parts department. I know customers suck.
We have a big sign that says THE PRICE IS THE PRICE right next to our computer, yet we still get assholes trying to haggle.

I hate that whole haggling thing so I feel ya man
I know someone who's really cheap.
So he buys stuff, use them and returns them to the store used and gets a full refund. Last time he did this was with a 20$ waxing towel. I laughed my ass off, i mean come on.
I don't think i've ever been a "hard customer". I enjoyed the service from rick's accessories, hardtopguy and berk technologies. I actually think I get better service when odering online than in person.

When I finally reached the register, I asked if was possible to purchase this basket. The clerk said yes. I asked "how much". The clerk looked at me as if to say "your stupid", but gave me a break and only said "99 cents" with a look of disbelief on his face that anyone could even possiblly ask such a question..
it's a service industry.....isn't all of this a part of doing business?
if customers are such a pain in the ass, why stay in business?
again it's business, nothing personal. if a buyer can find it else where for less why not buy it for less?
many times i've gone into pep boys for odds and ends only to find their prices are higher than their competitors...so i ask them to beat the price...they always do.
it's a part of doing business...
and in this economic climate, it's sink or swim.
i have no loyalties.
