Wow, old thread. I don't even own an S anymore. Anyone want to sell their AP1, Silverstone or White?

Not a daily driver, but I shift between 4 and 5K. And wow, this is an old thread.

Me too, but we're talking about normal street driving here. If you rev hard to red line in first or second you are guilty of exibition of speed. In any other gear you're guilty of speeding. Since I do most of my driving in places where cops actually ticket people for such things it's just not practical most of the time, no matter how much I might like it.

On the street, it is basically illegal to use all the power this car can deliver, regardless of what gear you're in.

Luckily for me, the S is not my daily driver. The majority of the miles on my S have been at night, in the early morning hours out in the country.

i shift around 3200 - 3500. if i'm feeling the need i may take it above 4000. i know call me a 'girly man'.

who else is getting better epg @ 4-5k shifting?

currently I'm shifting at 3.5.

Normal driving, I always shift at 4k-5k rpm. The tranny feels smoother at that RPM.
