I am around the 4K-5K range. The only problem is that the exhaust is loud in that range and everyone thinks I'm trying to race. If they only knew what it sounded like when I was really getting on it!

Warmed up spirited driving, 7k-8k

3.5k or so when it's warming up. 5-6k after it's been warmed up for 5-10 minutes. 8k at every possible opportunity!

I need to shift at or around redline, and whenever I accelerate I drop it to the lowest gear I can. I feel this tremendous pressure build up inside of me the longer i don't do this, and it eats me up and turns my soul black.

If I get screwed by traffic on my commute to work, I'll have to do a u-turn and re-do a portion of the drive, just so I can finish it properly. It doesn't matter if I'm late.

My biggest fear is worrying about taking the machinery to its design limits. Right now, there's nothing holding me back, not the smallest ounce of fear that the engine won't hold or will pre-maturely fail. I'd keep it at redline for hours if the conditions would allow. I have that much trust in Honda-s engineering. If one day I will begin to worry, that's the day I will have to get rid of the car and get a Buick. I hope that day never comes.

I know alot of people here love taking it to redline, but worry about the machinery. Take my advice and get rid of that worry. Not only is it unfounded, but it keeps you from enjoying the car to its fullest. It's like a weight being lifted when you get rid of it.

Wow that brings back the memories. My grandmother drove a '69 Camaro RS. Said she needed the power to merge onto highways.

After the car warms up, I shift at 4.5 -5.5K. Anything lower and my shifts just isn't as smooth. Granted the car is still new to me, but the shifter feels like butter at RPM's at/over that range. I don't know how some of you can shift below 3K. It's just messy for me.

LOL, I'm old enough to have fathered, or grandfathered, probably at least half the people who post on S2kI.
Ha ha, does that mean I get to use VTEC every time I merge onto the highway.

When old people drive fast cars it usually means that they like to drive the stew out of them, doesn't it?
