Wow! 1200 miles and finally comfortable getting serious!

Mr black lexus wanted a little of daves2k on I 10 yesterday..65 mph punch and off we went...no traffic really to worry about so only endangered the idiots driving a Honda and a Lexus!

He hung on my bumper tight until about 8k in 5th (112?) He bailed as I began to pull hard on him...but I am sure he could not have hung..pulling to hard!

Absolutely murdered a 5.0 mustang with a 4k rolling launch!

What gear were you in during 65mph? I was expecting the S to do some spanking ont he IS300.

 

I have run with my friend who has an IS300 and there's really nowhere in the powerband that the S doesn't pull away handily. It's pretty much a no-brainer...

Dave, you will gain even more confidence as you learn the car and as it breaks in over the next several thousand miles. Oh yea...

I was cruising in 6th when we got started and I down shifted to 4th to get a jump....

Guy must have some mods..He really hung tight on me for awhile...great looking car with lots of aesthetic mods for sure!

In any case he caved when I started pulling hard and that racks him up as a kill.

That's what i was thinking, you dropped to 4th instead or 3rd. If you were in third, I'm pretty confidence that he'll not be anywhere near you.
