Default Day TIme Running Lights

so i find myself a beautiful car in the states, and am in the process of importing it into Canada. great. What a good ride this is.

Either way, the only mechanical thing that i have to change is i have to install daytime running lights that come on when the ignition comes on. (not switched)

i have seen some generic kits that splice wires, but i would really like to do a better job than that. Has anyone had to do this modification? Is the module just plug in able? any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here is a link to FULL instructions on this ..

I did it on my 2004 S2000 only 4 weeks ago when I imported to Canada. (will work perfectly on any year)

Dealer cost was 375.00 for a DRL install ..... My Cost was 68 dollars !

This installs them on your high beams so they run at 60% reduced intensity ... no effect on parking lights, dash lights, HID's or normal functioning of lighting systems....

NO factory wires are cut at all !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Total time to install was 1.5 hours and I was EXTREMELY fussy hiding all wires.

DRL Install instructions - S2000

PM me if you have any issues anr/or questions at all.

Great link
There was someone on the boards (not sure if they still are) that did this mod on cars being imported to Canada. He use to do the $$$ way and then did his on mod to save money
I am sure there is a thread on it.

Wow, fantastic link, if tyhis is not in the library already kosaic should addit.

Many thanks. I have what I jokingly call DAL as in driver activated lights as I always drive with them on, it's a motorcycle habit. However, it is such a pain to reach through the steering wheel at start up to put the dash lights back to full intensity. I might just look into doing this for my car.

Is there a way to make it so that you can have your DRL's and HID low beams on at the same time?
