usually they're wired in so if you pull the fuse, the lights won't work right. I had a friend with an s10 Extreme or whatever it's called and when he pulled the fuse for the DRLs one of his high-beams went out. Put the fuse back in, it came back on. Sneaky manufacturers...

Why do you hate DRL's? Just the looks of it?

I added LEDs to my car and turn on the parking lights (hooked up to LEDs) when I can't see other silver cars (since mines silver too) to act as DRLs. So I don't have to have that annoying 'always on thing' and the other fact I have an AP1

I don't like them b/c I'm not some lazy idiot driver. If its not very bright or I'm traveling on a 2 lane state highway with opposite lane passing then I'll put on my headlights. I don't need some stupid idiot proof DRLs that big brother thinks we need.

I'm fairly certain that the highbeams still work with the DRL fuse pulled.

On my old Celica, I wired an inline switch for DRL's. I hate the look of them.

I have a MY06 and I pulled that fuse the second day I drove my car off the showroom floor and I haven't looked back...I'm not sure why your other lights aren't working though? Mine work fine. When the parking lights are on I have the DRL indicator on the dash but as soon as I turn my headlights on that goes away, and my High beams work normal.

Hope this info helps?
