i've got spugen dual ovals on my daily driver and its fine with me. i think what your looking for is a more specialized setup like mine. i have the dual ovals with the stock resonator and its unbelieveable. if you have more questions you can pm me.

I've got Spugen dual oval (magnaflow mufflers) with round tips for more than a year. Cheap, adds HP's, sounds and looks fantastic at idle and WOT but booming/drone between 3-5krpm drives me nuts. I'm going back to stock after a year of desperate searching and listening to other exhausts and sound clips

All I really want is relatively quiet, subtly looking and _not_booming_or_droning_ under any circumstances. Dont' care that much about weight savings, just want some whining, high pitched, bikish/ferrarish/whateverish sound

I had the Apexi World Sport on a previous car, it was about the quietest nicest sounding aftermarket exhaust I had heard but it still bugged me a bit (droning).

I had my resonator-ectomy done last week and it is EXACTLY what I was looking for and sounds like what you may be. I would 2nd the notion of having this done first and if you still want more spend the money on the exhaust.

i believe it's common for every exhaust to drone a little bit at the 3krpm range, and i don't believe that it can be avoided. i know with my amuse, the drone is there, but it's only noticeable with the top up, and it's not really that loud. i can only imagine what it's like in something loud like the Invidia.
