Definitive S2000 CR Thread
My biggest complaint with the CR (minus the ugly ass body and ugly yellow inserts in the seats, I don't recall ever seeing a post where someone wanted that..) is that there's nothing SPECIAL or hard to reproduce about it. There's not REASON to upgrade. I can put RE070's on my wheels, I can switch the suspension, I can remove the softtop, I can remove the AC, I can remove the radio (but lets face it, this clearly isn't a track worthy car, so most will ship with at least ac, and likely radio), I can remove the spare tire, I can make a new reat strut tower bar. It's all EASY. If the frame itself had additional gussets welded in, or additional supports welded to the body itself, then fine, the CR would serve a purpose. Unfortunately, it doesn't. It's just a factory car with a ugly body kit and some other ugly add ons and a few performance upgrades that can be easily done elsewhere.
Honda got it right with their Type-R's created in Japan, they created something special. The CR isn't special in the least... well expect maybe as a failure..

Absolutely. There were many on this very board ready to trade/sell their current S for the CR.
Now that it looks like a Fast & Furious reject car, with no increase in horsepower, they can keep it.
On a side note.....perhaps the CR will have a role in the next Fast & Furious movie....."Miami Rice"

Let them make it so the modders can retrofit parts.
I give it 4 months before you see all these parts for sale on these sites so people can be different.
I can't wait to get the spoiler and shift boot with yellow stitching.
Seems like people have poopy diapers because Honda is copying what most people do on here.
