The black one from ebay has 10 miles, and I have freinds who work there that told me some service kid already took it out on the streets and of course beat on it... poor CR.

I was referring to my CR when I mentioned how stiff it is and how little body roll it has. Again, I'm not complaining but I think the rough ride would get very old on a long trip.

My CR had 3 miles on it when I picked it up and has the Radio & A/C. Mine is s/n 0022.

I too, am interested in knowing if a soft top can be installed sans motor while still keeping the reinforcement bits.

Are there any in Illionis? I am curious to go see one in person.

There could be many logical reasons why this would be so.
Then name a few.

The S2000 Type-S somehow manages to keep the rear reinforcement bracing whilst preserving the softtop. Any thoughts?

Article highlighting the differences between the CR and the Type-S

http://www.thetorquereport.com/2007/10/200...e_s_unveil.html

Summary: The CR has slightly stiffer suspension and a hardtop.

It would really be nice to have the soft top as well. I think it is a lot like riding a Harley. You know bloody well if you leave your rain suit at home, you will encounter the mother of all rain storms. Nothing worse than rain water dripping in your shorts. It would be fun to leave the hard top behind, but . . . .

I wonder if someone offers a toneau cover for the passenger side?? That would at least help a little.

I wonder... if American Honda had called the US version "Type-S" would it have avoided people expecting it to be a fully prepped race car?
