Could be worse. They could have slapped a Type R badge on it and smeared every real R.

But who is their target demographic for this F&F nonsense? Someone hardcore enough to want a/c delete but not knowledgeable enough to see the faster lap times are 99% tires?

Are they sharing the same pool of marketing geniuses with Sony?

Dezoris, you have got to be playing devil's advocate. You're point is like saying, "I don't see the difference between a hand-made suit and one off the rack of wal-mart. They both have pants, a shirt and a jacket. I think wal-mart got it right because the wal-mart suit has the same parts to it that a hand-tailored suit does." Its a question of quality, specifically the parts fitting the overall aesthetics of the car. The parts simply don't compliment the look of the car and it seems like a lot of people agree.

I personally wish they had focused on the internals of the car (engine, suspension, rigidity) and completely left the look of the car alone or done something subtle. And what is with the fake carbon fiber? That is a travesty.
Owned!

And I completely agree, engine, suspension, steering, and seats was all that needed to be revised. Championship white with Mugen's MF10's to seal the deal.

#### you, Honda. Pay me. Your designer just lost market share for you along with credibility and loyalty. I would have just sold at least 2000 cars with my thoughts above.

I think 3 / 64,543 liked it.

I propose a psych test for dealers when someone tries to buy an S. Show them the CR, if they like it, ban them from ever purchasing a Honda and give them a coupon for $20 off a Neon SRT.

The CR is a concept first and foremost not a production car, that fact was known weeks ago.

It was obviously rushed to meet this date for the NYC auto show.
And the most obvious thing they thought was going to appeal to the S2000 crowd, was all the foo-foo, because thats what most S2000 owners do their cars.

This is how Honda sees the S2000 market or they would not have made this concept.
Their execution is a matter of perception.

I see no difference in the CR car from many of the cars here, whether the parts are Mugen, Spoon, Veilside, APC, its all the same crap with a different look.

You can deny that all you want but if this forum is the place that Honda drew their ideas from you can see why, when a majority of the threads are about what body kits, wings, wheels or general appearance and all the ads for the site are for the same thing.

Finding an un-modified S2000 is like trying to find an unmodified 6th generation Civic or Si these days.

You asked for it and you got it.

I don't understand you guys. If you look at the changes, they are all things I've seen you ask for in this forum many times.

functional aerodynamic styling
cloth seats
no radio
no AC
no soft top
firmer suspension
less body flex
better tires

So now when Honda does put out a version with these features, suddenly it's the end of the world. Go figure.

No offense but you need to get your eyes checked out. Mugen, ASM, Spoon all look 1000000000x better than the Club Ricer (credit to Fuelrush) edition from Honda.

Most people were looking for a bump in horsepower from this edition actually. Lets face it. Who on these boards is gonna buy a Club Ricer from the Honda dealers come fall? I am guessing hardly a soul.

So it's our fault that we forgot to include: "Aesthetically Pleasing" to the list?

Looks are subjective, but that is hideous and reading the thread, I am not alone in my opinion on the subject. Some MIGHT like it, but certianly not a majority, and targeting a majority is usally a goal.

This is a case of the car being LESS than the sum of it's parts.

Just for Jokes and Giggles: When the AP2 pics came out, and stats, everyone jumped the band wagon, as callling it a "watered" down Ap1, softer suspension, ..... and look at it now.

I got both.
