Definitive S2000 CR Thread
As stated before, my single biggest problem with the car is that there's nothing special about it.
It's target audience has to be those without an S2000 currently and it's far cheaper and easier to just reproduce this yourself, and it won't be hard at all to do so. I'd even skip the aero crap, that's not making the big difference in lap times anyways.

+1. I'd buy it for the handling and lightweight mods they did to it. I can easily swap out the rims, lip, and pretty sure someone on this forum would trade trunks to get that wing. I've seen worse looking body kits on here than what's on the CR.
I find it ironic that the car even has this kit at all. I wouldn't be surprised if you weighed the CR's body parts and compare them to the AP1/AP2 body parts you would see a slight gain on the CR.
So much for weight reduction.

Signing a petition calling for its destruction is a lil overboard don't ya think
The problem with this car comes down to lack of substance and just plain ugly. If you have to drive it or see it in person to make it look better, you are just lying to yourself. The production version will look just like the one shown here, unless Honda decides to kill it now they realize how far up the ass they buried their heads.
This CR exercise is nothing more than an attempt for Honda to clear out their parts bin from AP1, NSX-R, and their S2000 accessories line. If you look at the CR compared to the original S2000 Type R proposal, there are many key ingredients missing on the CR.
Honda, Give us Type R or no CR at all. No need to send us a half baked effort. Ever since Fukui took over, Honda sports car program has gotten pissed on and watered down.

That blue looks like what they offered on the original Miatas or a Spoon car. I was hoping for three hot new colors. As for the wing and toneau...eh not horrible but not my taste. But that front end
its hideous. The comparison someone made to the superbird is exactly what I was thinking. They went for function over form, and its butt fu..ing ugly. As for the yellow seats..it matches what Spoon does with the blue/yellow so I guess they figured we'd eat it up. I think they're awful. And why is the top a different color? Its the same top they already offer, so why isn't it color matched? Why couldn't they do something to up the HP at least a little? Why didn't they put in a lighter/better flowing exhaust/header? That would have saved alot of weight and increased HP. It obviously isn't built as a racer, its meant to be a street car with some race cred. Good luck ever finding one w/o AC or stereo. You'll have to order it and pay extra because you ordered it.Overall, I'm severly disappointed. There is nothing about this car that makes me say "wow", which is why so many hate it.
