Interested to hear it's available in different colours. Black with yellow interior detail would be a good choice.

Also interested to hear about the weight issue; seems as though the strengthening and aero parts has replaced a considerable part of the weight loss achieved by deleting the soft top.

Cheers,

James.

how are any of those modification significant.... they took out the radio and AC... they added a whale wing.... an ugly front lip.... lost 95 lbs?!?!??! The only real tweak is they use an ap1 steering gear box and slight tweaks to the suspension. Most everybody on here already modified their suspension to what is probly better than what the CR has.....

Correct. I'd bet most aftermarket ones people use here never get to the point of actually producing downforce, just reducing lift (at most). Some are probably tested, but likely not many of them... I hate the way it looks, but it does work, so If I had a CR I'd remove it for normal driving and reinstall for track days.

Simple truth, Gary Robinson (Rice Planner) should be fired.
Seriously though, I think all this negative feeling boils down to two things.

1) The CR is rice
2) The CR isn't a next generation S, that everyone is waiting on.

Please clarify why you think the CR is "rice."

TOV interview with Gary Robinson (S2000 Product Planner): http://www.vtec.net/news/news-item?news_item_id=672417

150 lbs total savings
90 lbs total savings after all the cr stuff is put in
50 lbs for HD
*****
40 lbs net savings.

add the ac/radio for DD

back to 0? also he mention no spare tire and jack which is 20 lbs. so the CR with a spare is 20lbs more then a standard s2k? is it road legal for a car not to come with a spare?

he said they were not concern with 0-60 or quarter mile times, but it is improved.

black exhaust tips will not make it into the production model.

It is legal. Honda has done it before with the original Accord Hybrid. They include a can of "fix-a-flat" with the car basically as a way to get you going on a very temporary basis.
