Why can't the CR have a welded fixed roof top? That would be the most rigid.

Wouldn't it be funny if the CR was the type R in Japan and the reason for not calling it a type r is because it is not an Acura . We should wait and see. Perhaps they balanced the engine, shorter gearing, and other secret stuff. Or maybe nothing

Well, my local track is VIR, and no convertibles out there without the necessary roll bar 2 inches or whatever ABOVE the top of the helmet. In any case, though it is safer to drive with the three point stuff etc rather than with harnesses incorrectly set up. frankly, I have little kids and want to live through all the events, so a REAL bar or better yet, cage, seats, harness mount/bar, 6 pt harness, fire suppression, upgraded brakes, etc, would have made me happy.

As it is, the changes are cosmetic. some people dig that, others don't see any value in it.

Bye!

Did you read anything about the CR?

1. Stiffer springs
2. More dampening
3. Stiffer sway bars
4. Stickier RE070 tires
5. More downforce
6. Lighter weight
7. Stiffened chassis

How can you possibly ignore all of those and call the changes cosmetic?

I saw in a magazine the other day that quoted someone from Honda saying they expect 1 in 3 of all 2008 S2000's to be the CR. I think it was just "Automobile" magazine...not sure what month. My grandpa's magazine...I'll have to run back by my parents house and check it out if anyone is interested in the exact quote / month / magazine it was...

They sell 5000-6000 S2000 a year.

2000 CR.

That's 1/3

Only a HANDFUL of the CR is stripped. That's the $$$ one

Just one person on this board; who as of today has driven the 08 S2000 CR.That is the person whom I want to see his opinion.

The rest of this thread is a waste of bandwidth.
