$2000 for the aero kit, bracing, hardtop and suspension... By Porsche standards, that's a steal!

It would be really, really nice to be able to drive off a Honda dealer's lot with a CR for $36,300 but, considering the source of the information, I don't think that'll be possible.
Probably the quoted $36,300 is a low-balled price and you will never see one stickered out to close to that value. If you go to a car manufacturer's websites for prices, they are almost invariably "low-balled" to get you interested in a car and into their dealerships. (It's a given in car marketing that the more "foot traffic" that you generate the more cars you will sell, even if you have to stretch the "truth in advertising" a bit. This isn't an indictment of Honda, they all do it.) Probably the $38,000 that's been quoted before will be more realistic.
Nonetheless, the CR should be a lot of bang for the buck, performance-wise, and be breathing very, very hard on the neck of Porsche Boxters and BMW's bottom-line roadsters on the track ---- for thousands of $ less, and be far cheaper to support to boot.

$36,300 is the MSRP for the car, you should be able to buy it all day long at that price, and probably a discount off that price if you are good negotiator.

I think the first ones to hit the dealer's lots will have the highest "stickers" though, as the dealers try sell the new items for whatever the market will bear. If they sit a while, or the dealers can't get their sticker price on the first one or two, selling prices will likely be more "negotiable." It's hard to tell what the market for these will be.
We'll just have to see . . . . . .
