Also, doesn't the front right shock alone cost $417.30 from item #3? I don't see any discount prices on www.hondaparts.com ...
Simply purchasing Honda parts without discounts would cost you a fortune ... The shocks and springs would cost around 2K I would imagine (too lazy to add up the numbers). But then, at least these are tested and proven with some sort of numbers and are OEM quality.
The shocks and springs are different on the CR than 2008 base models. And 2008 base models' shocks and springs are both different from previou years'.
Doing a CR conversion would not be cheap in any fashion. Simply getting the wing + front lip themselves would cost over 1K already. And on top of that, you probably have to paint them if you have an NFR, silver, or laguna/suzuka (another few hundo). You also have sway bars (another 300), and steering column (who knows how much that is ... another 1K? again too lazy to dig through the parts site). The wheels are probably not worth the swap if they aren't really lighter, or you might even be able to pick a set up later when people sell them on the Sale forum here. Then you gotta add a hardtop to really make the wing and lip worthwhile, ... another 2K there for a used one. The bill could easily rack up to 4 to 5K including labour, if not more ...
Oh yes, and you need the RE070 tires too! Another 1K
Or you could probably use RE01Rs. But you do need the tires to improve the handling like the CR did
If anyone can recommend a Honda dealer in the LA area where they think I could get a fair deal on CR with a trade in of a 2005 BMW 325Ci I would appreciate it. My dealer here in MN can't give me a fair price for my trade cause no one wants a convertible in Minnesota in October...go figure...
I can ship or even drive my car to LA and drive the CR home, hopefully before the snow falls. I want an apex Blue with no AC or radio. I'll be in LA the later part of this week.

The CR is listed on Tirerack's website.
but the RE070 is not listed yet however the stagger for the CR shows to be 255/215. Is there an advantage of this stagger over 255/225?

So we're looking at about (2*415) + (2*480) to get a complete set of CR specific shocks and springs. In other words, around $1800
Assuming this has tangible benefits, especially on the track, even when fitted to "standard" AP2s, it would be nice to see some sort of a group buy on it.
The CR shift knob: $80

Prices on this site seem kinda high even for Honda OEM parts, but this should at least give you an idea of how much you can expect to pay for CR items.
I guess both the springs and shocks are different for the CR.

Once these are updated on Majestic and San Leandro Honda, in addition to other sites, we should be able to get them at significant discounts.
Does anyone know if the actual shifter is shorter on the CR, or is the 12.6mm achieved by a countersunk knob? It would be great to get a factory short shifter for our cars.
Looks like the front lip is $540 retail, not bad in comparison to the regular OEM lip, considering it helps the aerodynamic side.
We need to work on a thread with all CR parts that can swap into older s2ks with part numbers also.
