Does anyone have a formula of depreciation for the S2000.
I want to see the cleanest CRX ever and I want it to be an 87 si.

It depends on the economy. Car resale values took a giant dump last fall and it could happen again in the near future. Depreciation over the last 12 months is probably dramatically worse than over any 12 month period over the last 5 years. Until the economy stabilizes future car values are a crapshoot.

These cars really took a hit when the economy tanked. I guess 2 door convertibles aren't exactly a "necessity" car when people start losing their jobs.
In a year or two, I'd bet you can get an 06-07 for $15-18k. I hope it's more since that's what I own, but that's what I expect. But I don't think a good condition, low mileage S2000 will average much below about $10k for a LONG while. You can always find a deal, but I think you'll have to beat the market.
These cars seem to drop to $20-22k quickly, settle for a while, then slide to $15k and settle there for a long while.
To be honest, I really hope the prices continue to decrease that way I can grab another one on the cheap! I know that dicks everyone else over, but not everyone can win right? lol
And I dunno about an 87, I was thinking about getting my hands on a 90-91 RHD SiR and doing either a turbo B18 or a ITB'd k20a...
We'll see how things play out, and how my insurance is going to look on a few of the cars i'm interested in with this DUI... For some odd reason the insurance companies are gonna rape me, being a 23 year old male with a DUI with a few tickets and all lol
