I guess that one would be blending too much considering the huge faces of the S2000 LCD but if I can get the blue one working like it should white won't be a problem then....

OK guys I got the new EL foils for testing purpose
So I put them into the display and put the car outside and opened the roof.
You can see the outside sun reflecting on the dash.
Just to show how the daylight visibility is...of course if the sun hits very bright directly into the display I won't be as good
but that happend with other displays too.
Here I have a closer pic of the speedo to show you how the foil looks with and without the blueoverlay foil.
If you take the blueoverlay foil off the EL-foil your display will be white in daylight and a little lighter blue at night!
What do you think?!

P.S.: I didn't have the time to cover the whole REV area with the new foil...it's just for testing purpose right now

Yves,
I remember posting earlier about EL sheets, and some were skeptical. I can't remember the price that I posed, either, but I have found some 4"x6" sheets in verious colors (including white) for about $30/piece. You would probably need two to completely fill the space, but you can cut them to whatever shape you need and use a single inverter to run both sheets. Total cost for everything, filters and all, would definitely be less than $100.
