As I statet in the original post (maybe not clear) the first 2 digits in the tacho are without the blue overlay foil which is usually attached to the special EL-foil from my new supplier....it makes the darker blue.
I just took it of to show you guys the possibilities.
The REV band is just blue in the middle because I just put it on to see how th eblue looks through the LCD display so I just took a little piece.
Although you have to know that the tint of the Honda display glass is not the same for the odometer and the Speedometer...it will ALWAYS look very slighlty different blue which I think is OK.
Also the tint varies from the angle of wiev.
I tested this when I had the display out. The sharper the angle you look though the glass the less you see throuh.
So lager persons will see slighly another blue than smaller persons.
I am talking here of course about very small differences.
Hope this makes it clear.
It's all going a little bit slower now because I am trying to buy a house which gets blocked by some lawyer who doesn't want to sell the house for his client.
It takes pretty much of my time (and nerves)
So far...

and if u didn't read my post on the other thread (where randy said he was basically "done" with this mod).. i said that i could possibly work on the climate control lights.. but that's assuming u guys finish the tach ones... otherwise it wont match... even thoguh i'm not 100% sure the climate control lights are changable.. (there mite be an orange film behind the lights, which may be un-removable. if its removable the i can change em.. if its just a colored bulb i can change it too).. here's pics of it on my lude.. the color output on them is pretty identical to the blue on the reverse indiglo gauges as u can see..
In order to produce the OEM orange light Honda did put an 1mm think diffuse orange plastic sheet directly behind the LCD which itself is slightly dimmed.
So the white bulbs behind shine throught the orange sheet which makes the speedo REVS etc look orange.
Now I remove this orange sheet and replace it directly with the EL foils which have approximately the same thickness.
Hope this helps...

Hey Stocky,
I live fairly close to Ludatic, who has some experience with the climate control / audio control parts of the dash on the prelude. As soon as you (or I
) come up with a decent looking blue gauge pod, I am going to meet with him to work on the side areas.

like. white light shining through blue light.. it'd be brighter when its completely lit up.. but how bout when u just want the certain rpms lighting up.. i'm still confused on it sorry. basically i know ur using EL to convert the light to blue, but wouldnt it be the same as using the blue film like randy uses.. cuz the white light still shines through the EL, which i assume is transparents.. aiya i'm confused hahaha
the blue stuff i used for my clock are the color gels that they use in theater lighting.. i dunno if its the same stuff that randy used.. maybe his is thicker or thinner i dont know, but mine comes out pretty damn well for the clock.. *shrug*
