By the time this is complete, I think it'll have been over 3 months for you! This process better go faster for future customers or else the kids will have outgrown the need by the time people get their switches in!

Yes! J, definitely see if you can snap some pics of the part(s) and maybe observe the install (and take pix if they'll let you)... That would be beyond awesome.

I dropped the car off this AM, and they seem to think it will be done this afternoon. V cool! Looks like labor will be about $300 - though I'll update this when I get the final bill.

I did ask to see the part and the installation instructions. The switch itself gets installed in the front portion of the hidden glove-box compartment. It is about 1.5" square.

Looks like they run the harness (all OEM quality stuff, bundled nicely in yellow flexible conduit) from there underneath the center console, under the passenger door sill, and up underneath the dash. The indicator light gets "stuck" with what looked like thick 2-sided tape to the dashboard at the base of the passenger A-pillar.

I think the only holes that get drilled are in the bottom of the hidden compartment, where they screw down the switch.

Parts were boxed in a Honda parts box with Honda instruction manuals. I couldn't tell who they get the part from, but it doesn't look like any of the others I've seen on the Internet.

More info and picts after I pick up the car.

Good info...thanks J. Curious as to what the total cost will be. If you read this before you pickup the car, and don't mind...ask the techs if this would be the same procedure for the '04. Cheers!
