Do all shifters vibrate?

Yes, it's normal especially on rwd cars as the shifter goes directly into the tranny.

rwd cars vibrate more since the shifter is coming up right from the transmission.

I notice a little vibration from the shifter. There are two reasons:
- The shifter is directly connected to the transmission, without the dampening effect of shift cables, as is typical with front wheel drive.
- Our engines are 4 cylinder in line. The V-6 and the 6 cylinder in line have inherently fewer and milder vibrational modes than an inline 4. BMW's in line 6 is super smooth, but I would still pick S2000 over Z4 any day.

I love how the S2K shifter vibrates

Feels more raw. A lot of cars don't have that characteristic -- I Don't think it's a problem ...
