My fog lights are true daytime running lights, since they are switched on and off by the ignition. I used the HIDs for this purpose, but the whole reason I installed the fogs was so I wouldn't have to use the HIDs during the day.

I am a very strong believer in the safety value of daytime running lights, based both on experience and reliable statistical studies. Mine are in my avatar.
