Actually redlining to 9000 in higher gears like 4th, 5th and 6th makes me orgasm in my pants. So yes I worry about blowing my load when redlining.
Couldnt haver said it better myself!

ive heard this before but searched and could not find any proof myself...

is it true that honda ran an ap1 motor at 9000 continuously, and it lasted a week (i think) before the rocker arms fatigued?

lol april fools right jk but seriously though I think it would run out of oil in a few hours if you ran it at 9000 continously

well they could certainly add oil if they needed to. from what i understood it was run outside of a car (just as an engine) and it was to test the reliability of the mechanics. I heard it about a year ago, and searched around when i remembered it a few months ago but found nothing.

it could be BS... i dont know.

In 1st and 2nd and even 3rd gear i have no regrets about revving right to redline, but in the taller gears like 4th and 5th where it takes a little longer to wind them up to redline do you ever worry about your motor?

I feel nervous sometimes when redlining in 4th gear, almost sounds/feels like my engine is about to blow any second when i approach 9000..lol

I guess its maybe the idea of the motor being in that high rpm range for so long in the taller gears that bothers me a bit..i know its built to withstand the 9000 redline but i still get concerned about it..anybody else feel this way?
In a word, "no." This car is like a rice rocket (motorcycle), and loves to rev.

LOL, it takes less time to reach redline in the higher gears when you have FI.
