I live in South Africa, always good weather. I can even drive top down during winter! My car is always in a garage, covered when I'm not driving.

We had a rare warm day yesterday. (55 degrees) I took an hour after work and changed the oil, filter, transmission and diff fluids. Pretty much set for winter now.

I wash it,
fill the tank and add stabilizer,
unlatch the top,
Add dryer sheets,
remove battery
and cover it.

I've had it for 3.5 years and never had an issue. Although I did have to replace the battery this spring, but I think it was original and I left it in the car all last winter. This year I'm pulling it (this weekend).
