A baseball cap is standard attire with the top down.
I use a "hat leash", or a small string looped around the adjusting strap on the cap and clipped on to my shirt collar. That keeps the cap from blowing away. They sell these things at ski resorts. Spring skiing can be very warm and sunny, and a baseball cap with a leash is essential.

Have hair to the middle of my back so I definitely wear a hat when the top is down, which is almost always. Also, just for grins occasionally strap on a Jacques Villeneuve replica helmet I won at GP of Canada in '02. It used to live in a lucite box but I like it better on my head.
