Does the AEM EMS replace or is better than the VAFC?
Well, I am very close to buying a VAFC, but I have not jumped on it yet becaues of the harness problem. I have been reading about the new AEM EMS and am not too sure what it can do or what it does and how it works. Anyone out there have any more info on it and could explain it a little better to me? Is this something I could get in place of a VAFC? Anyone know about costs and release date?

Well, I've done a little more research and kind of answered my own questions. First, it can do everything a VAFC can do and much more. It lists at $1865, but you can get it from John Eagle Honda in Houston for $1500.

It sounds like an amazing product, but I think it does MORE than I really need and would know what to do with. I think my search for a VAFC harness will continue.

Brandon, I would agree that EMS is more than most people want to mess with. You'll need an experienced tuner, plenty of dyno time, a laptop, etc. You'll be replacing your stock ECU, so warranty is now an issue, Immobilizer is not enabled, etc. It's a pretty hardcore mod, but it's one of the best things out there. The reason is that you can tune the ECU to your specific mods. If your SC'ed, you can tune it for the SC. When you upgrage stuff, you can then alter the ECU to take (more) advantage of the mods. It's a true tuning mod.
If you're going to consider an EMS, just remember that at that price level you have a lot of other very well established options including Electromotive, Haltech and the granddaddy of them all, MoTec. Personally, I'd spend a few extra $$ and get the MoTec. The things you can do with it are incredible (1/4 degree ignition timing variability with a different curve for each cylinder - that's trick!).
