L8-APX.... I hope you learned something from this thread cause you seemed to have a lot of concepts either confused or backwards... Kind of Ironic cause of your Sig "L8-APX" would lead me to believe you understood the concept of "heel-toe" and "rev-matching".

dvhppy....If we every meet up again, I'd be glad to show you some techniques in my car and how to downshift into 3rd and 2nd with rev-matching or heel-toe. The key to both is timing...if you don't get off the clutch in time your revs will drop and the point of the "match" is gone.

Pillowsplat......

Revin9K and Exody....

OCMusicJunkie.... "I personally slow down with the clutch in and the car in neutral, if it's safe to do so." When is it EVER safe to be in neutral with the clutch in?.... Like Xviper said... you need to be in the correct gear for the corresponding speed to be in "control"....

If I hear "replacing the brakes are cheaper than replacing the........" one more time.....I think I'm going to:

TGIF!!!!

Usually, those who don't downshift/rev match are those who could never master it well...
Then there are those of us who just can't stand the sound of the infamous clutch buzz.
