That's weird. I wonder if the valves happen to be adjusted slightly differently between the two?
Bring a floppy disk or USB drive with you next time - I'd love to have the electronic versions to add to my collection.

You shouldn't be dyno'ing your car from the lot.... show the thing some love and break it in correctly but I guess its sorta late for that now.
if anyone shows me one S2000 that had negative issue because of improper breakin, i will think about it

It has nothing to do with the S2000, it has to do with your rings seating correctly. I'm sure plenty of people that didn't break in their engine right are having oil burning issues.
maybe back in the day of 2 piece rear main seal SBCs but not anymore.

maybe you will be the first tool to cry about it when your improperly broken-in S starts to have problems..

I have been around engine builders that build the fastest engines in this country. I guess you know more than they do. A manufacturer will not release a car to a customer if there are stupid breakin precautions that MUST be taken to ensure the car operates properly.
Jeez, I have no patience for stupid people.
Oh and many cars WILL burn oil if they are driven hard no matter how you break them in. I change the oil on all my cars at 2500mile intervals because I dont drive like an old lady.
