Elda Roll Bar
Ouch, that's a bummer. I feel bad for Mike, and anyone else who ordered the bar. I hope Go Fast Labs can get these bars out to customers. They are worth the wait, but I know I would be really bummed. Hang in there everyone, and I hope you get good news soon.

Can someone justify the extra $450 spent for this bar as opposed to the cusco roll cage?
and how much of a handling difference will there be with a added roll cage in a s2k?

As for the blingin Cusco bar:

Any direction you put force on the bar, except possibly straight back, the bar will buckle
Are you really so confident in it that you would risk your customers' lives on it? How much do you think their families will want when the bar crushes on them, breaking their neck, causing more injuries than without the bar? Do you think they'll just forget who peddled them the bar? Yeah right....
And for the record, if you search in this forum on the Mugen bar, you'll find similar flaws were pointed out about it. Safety items should be engineered for safety, not for looks. When you get a chance, take a look at the design of the Elda bar. It's textbook. Main hoop has only the 2 bends. Fore-aft bracing attaches low and goes straight back at 40* inclusion angle. Monster mounting plates. That's how you build a safe bar. Not by including 6 bends and 50 ugly tack welds, then spray painting ricer blue to hide the poor workmanship.
Your ass... you decide.

blue03s2k,
I would appreciate it if you could post the close up pictures of cuts on CrazyCracker82 car.
I still want the roll bar, I just got to wait until Go Fast Lab offers them again.
Aloha,
Mike
