I bought a black chrome emblem set from the hardtop guy...and am having problems with the rear emblem. The car is an '08, and the part is supposed to fit, but the holes are different. https://hardtopguy.com/store/123.html?category_id=30

The new ones are more of a cross format, and the stock ones are round. If you zoom in o the picture you will see what I mean. Both line up fine, but the new ones with the cross back are too wide and don't push in. I was thinking I could shave them down, but this seems unnecessary for a new part. Anyone else run across this?

 

If the white inserts are still present in the bumper and/or trunk, remove them and the emblem will work just fine.
