Espelir springs and alignment
First, I did a search and this question has been asked before, but not answered.
I have a set of Espelir ASD springs on the way, and I am wondering about alignment ... can you align them back to stock specs (or say, stock UK specs) without a kit?
Also, I think there might be some debate as to how low they actually drop -- I have seen 0.8 front/1.3 rear, 1.3 all around, and I have also seen that after they settle in a week or so they drop like 2" all around (older threads). So was this just a problem with older Espelir springs that has been fixed now?
Should I plan on buying front and rear anti-bumpsteer kits?
Thanks!

Up to an inch or so you'll have no trouble getting the car back to stock specs, or to UK specs, IF you have an alignment guy who know's what he is doing.
A 1" drop also does not make a significant difference in the roll steer profile (aka "bump steer profile"), so if you're not having bump steer issues now you shouldn't have them after the drop. After a small drop, you're probably more likely to run out of suspension travel and have stability problems becasue the suspension is hitting the bump stops than you are to have a major bump steer issue.
If the drop is over an inch, you're on your own (IOW, I'm just not sure
).

Thanks for the advice guys, what does IOW mean?
Really what I was getting at with the question is whether or not I would need to buy bumsteer kits, I didn't think so b/c it's a pretty mild drop but it's always better to make sure
On a side note, I just got my Blitz Type 01s put on tonight, so pics will coming soon

IOW = "in other words"
The steering over bumps that results from misalignment is not the same as bumpsteer that is corrected with a BSK or steering rack relocation. LOL, the name does make it sound like the same thing, but it's really not.

Very true, plus I have to wait a couple weeks to get it aligned anyway. The other reason I was concerned about the front BSK is that I've heard the Espelir's can drop your car anywhere from 0.8in to 2in in the front, and with the front kit you just get a different-sized spacer, so I would need to know the actual drop first before getting the front BSK anyway.

My next suspension mod is going to be an adjustable FSB (Gendron) that we'll probably be installing in October. The after I wear out the set of S02's we just put on the car I'll probably try a set of Pilot Sport Cups. Probably going to be like starting all over when it comes to sorting out the handling after the tire upgrade, but that's the kind of thing that keeps this all so interesting.
