Not for nothing, but I think its time to put this whole "glass" versus "plastic" window thing to rest. . . Like most S2000 owners, I WISH our cars had glass windows. Though, I'm probably happier with a large plastic window that a small eclipse or vette type glass strip. . .

And like most S2000, Mercedes SL, Boxster, Z3, and 3 Series convertible (previous generation) owners, I can't completely understand WHY, in this world of advanced technology, our reasonably expensive cars (some more than others) don't have glass windows. . .

BUT, at the end of the day. . . WHAT'S THE BIG DEAL! Each of the cars I mentioned have optional hardtops, for people that live in areas affected by seasonal conditions. And, the owners of these cars knew that the window was plastic at the time of purchase (not like Honda, BMW, etc. switched windows after you payed for it.). . .

So, deal with it. . . Every car has quirks (aka Sh*t that should have been designed differently). But, the bottomline is that each of the aforementioned cars are known for what they have & can do. . . Not for the lack of a glass rear window. . .

I feel better now

A glass window is just another thing to BREAK. It may look nice, may even have defrost..
But it whats inside the car and under the hood that matters.

and remember
