It is heavy, but restrictive it is not. I know of no exhaust that gives gains over stock. And I don't consider 1 or 2 HP as gains.
please back it up with facts. the amuse single r1 gains +8hp, the r1000 is about +10-11.

the dual r1 is about +5hp.

My PVC pipe single outlet exhaust with a Hills Bros. coffee can tip (brown burnt tips) provide 30hp boost and major weight reduction. The duals provide less thrust with only a 25hp boost.

Trust me.

The exhaust was one of the first mods I wanted to make to my car and ended up being almost the last because I couldn't find the right combination of semi-quiet, lightweight and not stupidly expensive. I finally decided on the T1R single. A&J Racing usually has 'em in stock, it's pretty inexpensive ~$650?, isn't too loud and weighs 31lbs less than stock.

I would if I could... all we have is Kona Coffee cans in abundance but I hear that it doesn't gain nearly as much as the Folgers.

The published gains are not rules but the major benefit from most of these exhausts are obviously the reduction in weight (primary benefit) and sound.
I wouldn't say that the sound is a benefit on an R1000. In fact, it's a bit of a nuisance.
