Exactly, what I was trying to say. Either get a full refund, or a new top. The other option also is if you get to keep the damaged top plus the 2k insurance. Than it'll be a $1500 slightly damaged Seibon top.

You might have to try to negotiate a reimbursement for a repair .
Keep working on Fed-Ex for a complete replacement value and in the mean time take a few pictures to a body shop that specializes in Corvette repair.
If the top didn't come painted, you might try to work this into the price.
Hope everthing works out for you and understand your frustration. GL

why are you even thinking about taking the hardtop? call partshelper and tell them to send you another hardtop... he got paid insurance anyway, so he'll be reimbursed for what he said it was worth

the decision is not that easy when the car is your only mode of transportation. The top was slashed about a month ago and haven't driven it since (seats were stolen too, boy am i just lucky). I can't wait another 2-3 weeks for another hardtop. I need a car to go to work@!! lol and if by chance that top is somewhat damaged again, i would go through this whole process again...

If i had my soft top it would be fine, but i dont unfortunately.

The reason i was hoping they would just give me my full money back was because I have a couple of options for a hardtop and softtop locally that I can get immediately.

Fedex is now saying that they will pick up the hardtop and bring it to their inspection shop out of memphis tn... but here's the thing, that they do not have a time frame as to when it would get picked up, I would have to be home within the next 3 days and wait for the fedex guy.. I advised them I have to be @ work and they said they can't do anything about it. Dammm, fedex is really pissing me off now, will be talking to fedex corporate today, I can't believe they are telling me to loose a 2-3 days worth of pay for the mistake they have made... (i've already lost a day of work for the original shipment date). I have messaged Partshelper already about getting a refund and also a receipt, haven't heard back from him.. I'm hoping he just haven't seen my message yet..

I'd start to lean on Partshelper a bit then. Tell them what's up and that we're talking about it on the forums, could be good press for them if they fix this for you.

Did you pay through your credit card? maybe they can add some leverage for you.

Good luck.

[QUOTE=one_slows2k,Mar 4 2008, 03:32 AM] I would never use fedex again.
