yeah you need to be communicating with the Seller. The seller is the one who gets paid for the damages anyways.

Sorry to hear your ordeal.
Hope you get it straightened out.
It must be frustrating, but when this whole bullcrap is over, it'll be worth it.
Good luck.

'Lean on Partshelper' thats great advice! Why they did not provide full insurance value was absolute negligence on their part unless they were prepared to assume responsibility if the top was damaged in transit. You should also contact your credit card company and have them credit your account if the merchant isn't proactive in providing a replacement top without bickering. Don't rag on FedEx to badly, they are much, much better than UPS in these and other matters. Also, how was the original packaging? Honda hardtops come in a corrugated armor, virtually guaranteeing product safety during transit. I feel for you, just make sure to channel your frustration appropriately.

I know what you're saying, but its the lies and the runaround that has frustrated me with fedex, (among other things).. the box was originally damaged when it got to the tampa distribution office (wed morning). The local mgr originally told me it wasn't delivered because there were just too many deliveries.. and that it would've been delivered the next day(thursday) if I didnt complain to fedex that first night (basically i spoke with a customer advocate wed night who then promised me it would be delivered at a time that i select, and they will just hire a third party if they have to.) -- but the account mgr is acting like it was loaded on the truck and they had to take it out, when in fact it was never loaded on the truck to begin with..

2nd main issue is when i got the top, after close inspection, found the 2 things that i saw, small crack and small chip. I originally said i would keep since the dmg seems very minor but did asked the customer advocate if it would b covered if something arises from these 2 initial damages.. she made it sound like it would be, but when I asked for a written statement, she said they can't send an email or a letter, but only by fax.. after reading the fax, I didnt feel comfortable as it did not say anything about the top being covered.. My gf called later and spoke with a different supervisor and she advised that it would not b covered if something happens down the line..

I've emailed partshelper yesterday about the receipt and earlier today about the refund. Its still early in the morning and he's in cali so no point in passing judgement at the moment.

My gf just spoke with fedex, and the insurance amount is $500!!!! I am guessing this is the default amount if no insurance was taken. I am waiting to clarify with Partshelper, I am hoping this is a typo, either way, I want my 3500 back. this is going south really bad.

^^ I believe that is the lost he will have to take if it is not included in the $3500 price. Unless, partshelper gives you that, too.

Anyways, a big to Partshelper for giving you your refund with no trouble at all. Hope this gets all settled soon.
