Big wave, maybe you misread my post, I never said any of those cars could click off under 13 secs... a Viper, maybe a Z06 on a very good day... my point was... let me phrase so you'll understand... once you've been in faster cars, any stock car under $50k is going to be slow... whether it be an RX7 or an S2000, so saying the S2000 is slow, is completely relative to what you've experienced... for me, the difference between an RX7 and an S2000 would be negligable, if noticed at all....

Hey Rob,

Let someone give you a drive who is familiar with the car and let 'em take you for a spin on thier favorite twistie route. Honda owes me a ton of money for all of the s2000s Ive sold for them.
You really need to drive with another s2000. Let one pass you at 9000 rpm's and try to wipe the smile off your face. There is nothing like running in a pack of 5 or 6, the sound is addicting. Some groups here meet weekly to get a vtec fix.

One of my associates had a 93 RX-7, big turbos, intercooler, built engine, exhaust.....400hp!!!! It was a monster!!!! Total sleeper. Stock wheels and tires, stock looking exhaust. I look at RX7s differently now.

He just traded for a black 2001 vette coupe.

I realize this is a 7 year old thread, BUTTTT it's funny because the OP is flaming S2000s saying they are slow and pointless... 7 years later, look what I found!!!1!

THe S2000 is a circuit car...does well between gears once it gets rolling, not so much a car for launching. The torque can be depressingly low at times but the surgical precision in which you can thread it through twisties...leaving the high torque cars in the dust...makes up for it's shortfalls.

Have you looked at S2000 track times vs. many other current torquier current performance cars? W/ comparable drivers, I don't have much problem leaving S2000's in the dust....

Where the S2000 excels is in fun factor, not outright speed. There's no reason you can't have surgical precision and torque.

Back to the OP, perhaps he found the extra torque of the F22C more acceptable to him.
