The day after I picked up my car from the dealer with the 1-2 grind fix, I noticed first gear was a little balky going in. As I was starting out from a light, I heard a bang and it popped out of first. Now that I'm more aware, I see there is a catch going into first and I probably didn't have it all the way into gear. I'm bringing the car back to the dealer, but has anyone else had this problem? I had no issue like this prior to the work.

 

No, but I've got a little more resistance going in to 2nd gear, like the linkage is too tight, but there is NO linkage.

Works awesome though, just different from before, slightly.

 

mine mellowed out after about a week or so. now it's shifting as well as before. though i've had 1 grind yesterday - don't know if it was just me or the tranny.

 

Mine has been a little difficult going into 1st since the fix. Usually only when it's cold though.
